Situation
Aadinath Bulk manages a fleet of approximately 350 buses and has faced substantial monthly losses amounting to approximately $4,390 due to excessive idling. With an extensive network covering GSRTC routes and local transport in Ahmedabad and Surat, tracking and controlling idling time became essential to curb these losses.
Solution
To address this issue, Intangles provided Aadinath with a custom live dashboard capable of monitoring vehicle idling in real time. The system alerts fleet managers when any bus idles for more than the prescribed 20 minutes, along with detailed data on the time and location of the incident. This is ensured using our proprietary ML algorithms that learns from past idling data to differentiate between unavoidable and preventable idling, thereby enhancing the accuracy of the alerts.
Success
The implementation of this dashboard has enabled fleet managers at Aadinath to intervene promptly when excessive idling is detected. They can now directly communicate with drivers to understand the context of the idling and take necessary actions to resolve these issues effectively.
